Privacy policy

ipinfo.fyi is served by a Cloudflare Worker. There is no login and no paid plan.

What the server sees

Cloudflare receives your IP address because that is how the request arrives. The homepage shows it back to you. The JSON API does the same. We do not write that address into the click database.

What is stored

Affiliate clicks store the partner name, the referring page, the country Cloudflare attached to the request, and a timestamp. They do not store the IP. DNSBL results are cached in the CACHE KV namespace for one hour, keyed by the address you asked about, not by your address. Theme choice stays in localStorage on your device.

Lookups of other addresses

A search for someone else’s IP is sent to RDAP, RIPE Stat, ipwho.is, GeoJS, or DB-IP, depending on the page. Those providers see the Worker’s request, including the address you asked about. DNS lookups go to Cloudflare’s DNS-over-HTTPS resolver. The Tor exit list is fetched from the Tor Project.

WebRTC

The leak test runs in your browser, after you click, and talks to a public STUN server. This site stores nothing from that test.

Analytics

If the site owner has set a Cloudflare Web Analytics token, a beacon loads from static.cloudflareinsights.com. If the token is empty, the beacon is not included.

Maps

The map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap. Your browser requests those tiles directly.
