CGNAT
Airtel IP Address & CGNAT Check
Airtel mobile and Airtel broadband are different networks. In this site’s list, checked 13 Oct 2026:
- AS45609, BHARTI-MOBILITY-AS-AP, is mobile and is usually CGNAT.
- AS24560, AIRTELBROADBAND-AS-AP, is broadband. Some plans have a public IPv4 and some do not.
- AS9498, BBIL-AP, is the broader Bharti Airtel network. Read the ASN on your own connection rather than guessing from the brand.
The test
On the connection you care about, open the CGNAT check. On Xstream Fiber, open the router’s WAN status as well. If the WAN address is 10.x, 172.16–31.x, 192.168.x, or 100.64–127.x, and this site shows a different public IPv4, you are behind NAT. A mobile SIM will usually stay behind CGNAT even when the fiber line at the same house is not. Testing the SIM and then calling broadband support wastes the call.
What to ask
Ask for a public or static IPv4 on the broadband plan, and ask which of those two you are being sold. Get the monthly price from Airtel, on a bill or a ticket. This page does not invent one. A VPN is the wrong purchase: it puts you on a datacenter ASN, which shared-IP and hosting checks often treat more strictly than a home connection.
If the only complaint is a wrong city, fix the geolocation. Start with the location checker. A static IP does not repair a bad database pin.
ASNs and prefixes
These samples are from RIPEstat’s announced-prefixes API on 19 Oct 2026 (the data source). An announcement says the network is willing to receive traffic for that block. It does not say which city the block is used in, and it does not say whether your plan is behind CGNAT.

On 19 Oct 2026, RIPEstat listed 2,088 IPv4 prefixes and 3,628 IPv6 prefixes announced by this ASN. Does Airtel use CGNAT?
Airtel mobile, AS45609 (BHARTI-MOBILITY-AS-AP), usually does. Airtel broadband, AS24560 (AIRTELBROADBAND-AS-AP) or AS9498 (BBIL-AP), depends on the plan.
Which ASN is Airtel Xstream Fiber?
Check the ASN while you are on that fiber connection. This site’s list uses AS24560 for Airtel broadband and AS9498 for the broader BBIL-AP network. AS45609 is mobile, so a test on the SIM answers a different question.
How do I get a public IP from Airtel?
Compare the router WAN address with the public IPv4 first. If they differ, ask Airtel for a public or static IPv4 on the broadband plan and get the price from Airtel.
