Vi, Vodafone Idea, appears in this site’s mobile list as two ASNs with one registry name. [AS38266](https://ipinfo.fyi/asn/38266) and [AS55410](https://ipinfo.fyi/asn/55410) are both VIL-AS-AP, checked 13 Oct 2026. Mobile carriers usually put many subscribers behind one public IPv4. That is the expectation on Vi. It is not a measurement of how many people share the address you happen to have today.

## What this site is not claiming

These notes are about Vi mobile. This list does not describe a separate Vi fiber ASN. If the lookup shows a different ASN, you are not on Vi for that connection. Turn Wi-Fi off and run the [CGNAT check](https://ipinfo.fyi/tools/cgnat) again before you call support.

## How to read the result

- ASN AS38266 or AS55410, connection type “mobile, likely shared”: the public IPv4 is probably CGNAT. Your phone’s own address will look private.

- An address in 100.64.0.0/10 on the device is the carrier’s shared range, not a leak and not a public address you can forward.

- IPv6, if it appears, is yours in a way the shared IPv4 is not. Many games and older services still want IPv4.

## Support, and the thing not to buy

If you need inbound IPv4, ask Vi whether that plan can have a public IPv4. Expect a no on ordinary mobile. Do not pay a third party for a “Vi static IP”. A VPN moves you to a hosting ASN and makes datacenter checks stricter. For reaching your own machines, Tailscale or a tunnel does not need a public IPv4. AS38266 VIL-AS-AP, announced-prefix samples on 19 Oct 2026: 42.104.0.0/13, 1.38.0.0/17; 2402:3a80:1080::/42. RIPEstat counted 775 IPv4 and 1368 IPv6 prefixes that day.

AS55410 VIL-AS-AP, announced-prefix samples on 19 Oct 2026: 118.185.0.0/16, 123.63.0.0/16, 122.15.0.0/16; 2400:c700:1000::/36. RIPEstat counted 1272 IPv4 and 69 IPv6 prefixes that day.

### Does Vi use CGNAT?

Vi mobile, Vodafone Idea, usually does. This site’s list has AS38266 and AS55410, both named VIL-AS-AP, checked 13 Oct 2026.

### What is my Vi ASN?

Look at the ASN on the CGNAT check while you are on the Vi connection. Expect AS38266 or AS55410. Another ASN means you are on a different network, such as home Wi-Fi.

### Can I port-forward on Vi mobile?

Not to a shared public IPv4. CGNAT has no unique public port for your phone. IPv6, if the phone has it, is a different path. A VPN does not give you inbound IPv4.
