## The test on Bharat Fiber

Use the fiber connection, not a phone hotspot. Open the [CGNAT check](https://ipinfo.fyi/tools/cgnat) and the router’s WAN status.

- Matching public IPv4 addresses mean you are not behind CGNAT right now. Write down whether the address survives a router reboot. If it changes, it is public and dynamic.

- A WAN address in 100.64.0.0/10 or another private range, with a different address on this site, means NAT in front of the router.

- If an IPv6 address shows up, note the prefix. Some services you want to reach can use IPv6 without a public IPv4.

## Asking the circle

Ask the exchange or the self-care portal for “static IP” on your FTTH connection. Bharat Fiber circles have offered that add-on. The tariff is set locally. Anyone quoting a single national price is guessing, including this website, which is why it does not. Keep the ticket.

IPv6, Tailscale, and Cloudflare Tunnel are described on the [CGNAT page](https://ipinfo.fyi/tools/cgnat). Use them to reach your own machines. They do not satisfy a third party that insists on a stable public IPv4.
